How do you know when it's time to change your sparring helmet?
I recently started wondering how long you can actually use the same MMA headgear. I’ve had mine for several years, and it still looks fine on the outside, but after a couple of hard sparring sessions I got the feeling that the protection isn’t as good as it used to be. Opinions at the gym are split: some people replace their gear regularly, while others train in the same one for years.

The headgear looks intact, but after each sparring session I started feeling the punches more and more.Only when I compared it with a new one did it become clear that the internal padding had almost shrunk.
