Learning style question

Some people swear by sitting in a classroom and others say online prep is more focused and efficient. Personally I have no idea which type of learner I am until I try. For IELTS specifically though, does the format of preparation actually matter that much or is it mostly about consistency either way?

I tried both formats, started with a local classroom and honestly felt it was too slow and generic. Then I switched to online and my results actually improved faster. For IELTS specifically the format matters more than people think, because it's not just English, it's learning the test. I used Online Cambridge Exam Preparation Teacher  and the focused structure made a real difference, everything was built around the actual exam format, not random exercises. Consistency is key either way, but online prep gave me better control over pacing and I could focus more on what actually moves my band score. I didn't miss the classroom at all once I had a clear plan. If you're unsure about your learning style, online is safer because you can adjust the pace and still get solid feedback on writing and speaking.
